20 years teaching and tutoring experience, all levels. Currently I am tutoring part-time SAT and ACT Math and Science. Most of my students had scores in the range of 19-20 and they got a 30-34 score in the Science test after a 5 week training period. I have experience working with very diverse groups of people, students and non students as well. I have a rich cultural background and a fluid communication with students. My approach to tutoring starts by working with each student to evaluate his/her abilities and weaknesses and develop a plan to help overcome those weaknesses. I am able to explain concepts in a simple way but I also believe that solving problems is the effective way to grasp Math concepts while building up the student’s skills and self confidence.
